Straw Dogs

The Straw Dogs Campaign

Working in tandem with Sony Pictures domestic and international teams, Trailer Park Digital developed online content that had a global sensibility and appeal.  The film is a re-invention of the 1971 Dustin Hoffman vehicle, with this version starring James Marsden and Kate Bosworth as a couple from the big city who move to the deep South, only to face violent confrontation with the small town's straw dog residents. The campaign focused on the action, violence, and tension surrounding the story and its characters.

"What's Your Breaking Point?" quiz

A psychological quiz consisting of personality and situational questions, designed to determine what a user's "breaking point" is.  In order to intensify the experience, users are prompted to enter the names of the three people they are closest to. Those names are drawn into the questions, giving them a personal resonance. Based on their answers, users are awarded one of 4 distinctions - Straw Dog, Vigilante, Negotiator, or Coward. All user results are compiled, so players can see how they rank against the general population.
