Social Media Intern

Thursday, April 14, 2011

Trailer Park Interactive is currently seeking summer interns for its Social Media/Engagement team.  Looking for interns who can be here Monday through Friday and are able to commit 30 hours a week to this internship.

Trailer Park Interactive, a creative boutique of Trailer Park, oversees design, development, user experience and account management of Trailer Park's Interactive offerings. This encompasses web sites, advertising campaigns, social media and online PR campaigns, apps, games and online strategy. Trailer Park Interactive clients include AMC, CNN, HBO, DreamWorks and Twentieth Century Fox, to note only a few.

Interns will work directly with the Social Media Department to promote content across several social media platforms. They will be active participants in conversation online to increase brand awareness and to build word of mouth for specific and targeted campaigns. Should be familiar with best practices in forum posting, as well as familiarity with the following sites (IMDB Hitlist, Ning, Bebo, Facebook, Twitter, Hootsuite, Tweetreach, Hashtag.com, Getglue.com, Foursquare and more).

Interns will create weekly social media outreach reports highlighting their contributions per project. They will be actively involved in brainstorm sessions and will need to have a positive can-do attitude. Interns should be curious and sharp undergraduates interested in marketing, journalism, and new media. The ideal candidate should have experience in social media and on the forefront of discovering new trends and activities online. Candidates must be able to prioritize, research, meet deadlines, and most importantly be able to multi-task. This is an excellent way to get a foot in the door at an evolving interactive, entertainment agency.

All internships are unpaid and are for-credit only. All applicants must be eligible to receive school credit in exchange for the internship.
