Lead and supervise the relationship between the agency and
designated
client accounts. Manage reporting account staff.
It is within the purview of the role to advocate and promote the
agency's
strategic marketing insight on behalf of the client, to secure a
relationship
of influence and mutual benefit, to maximize incremental revenues
and
to mentor and train members of staff working on the account
team.
Major areas of responsibility:
1. Supervise, build and solidify the agency / client
relationship.
2. Manage the profitability and financial performance of
accounts.
3. Oversee the flow of work for designated accounts and the
communications with the client on key strategic and
financial
issues.
4. Promote trust and strategic partnership between agency
and
client.
5. Develop communications strategies and write or collaborate on
the
writing of strategic briefs.
6. Identify opportunities to secure incremental work from accounts
to
maximize revenue.
7. Defend and protect good ideas.
8. Provide leadership and supervision to the account team
including
the recruitment and training of team members, regular
performance assessments and the development of confidence,
accountability and leadership skills in Account Executives
and
Coordinators.
9. Implement and supervise best practices for estimating, billing
and
collections on client accounts.
10. Secure the long-term agency / client relationship and
contribute to
the formation of annual resource plans and contractual
agreements.
11. Play a significant role in agency's new business efforts,
leading new
business pitches/presentations where needed.
