John McMahon, President and General Manager, Art Machine, a Trailer Park Co.

An expert problem-solver with a mixed background spanning creative, business, and writing, McMahon oversees Art Machine, the print and creative division of Trailer Park, which he was integral in helping to build since its founding (and which was acquired by Trailer Park in 2007). McMahon has experience selling multiple businesses, and his views on the entertainment industry have appeared in The Hollywood Reporter, AdCritic.Com, and Creative Magazine.

Graduating from UCLA in 1992, McMahon worked in consulting in Los Angeles with Ernst and Young, before entering the entertainment industry as COO of Agate Printing. In 1998, McMahon and a colleague left the company and formed Iworks Print, a design and print consulting firm based in Culver City.  At Iworks, McMahon helped to introduce a new paradigm of high volume contract print pricing to several of the world's largest entertainment firms, including Sony/Columbia TriStar, New Line, and Twentieth Century Fox.  In 1999, McMahon helped to found Art Machine, a Los Angeles based design boutique.  In 2003, to devote more time to Art Machine, McMahon successfully sold Iworks Print to Southern California Screen Printing, Inc., the largest and most automated silkscreener in the Western United States.

Over the next 4 years, Art Machine became one of the most awarded entertainment design firms in Southern California, attracting the eye of purchaser Trailer Park and their equity partner Lake Capital.  In 2007 Trailer Park acquired Art Machine as their creative print arm, and in 2009, McMahon was promoted to President and General Manager.

McMahon has overseen strategy, creative, writing, and video production for clients including TNT, Cartoon Network, AMD, Universal Studios Theme Parks, and others. He has won six writing awards for individual creative work and is a published non-fiction book author.  McMahon has lived abroad, travels vigorously, and speaks semi-fluent Spanish.
