Jeremy Kaplan, President and Creative Director, Art Machine, a Trailer Park Co.

A creative director and specialist in the development of print and digital campaigns from concept through fulfillment, Kaplan currently serves as President and Creative Director for Art Machine, the print and creative division of Trailer Park, which he was integral in helping to build (and which was acquired by Trailer Park in 2007).

Kaplan helped set the bar for Art Machine's evolution as a top tier entertainment creative firm. Interacting with clients in advance of a film opening, Kaplan has traveled to locations in multiple countries to art direct photo shoots, interact with talent and brainstorm solutions on-site.  In addition to his theatrical and creative duties, Kaplan has broken into cable divisions on both coasts and relishes the challenge of bringing the biggest event films and groundbreaking television campaigns to Art Machine.

Among his success stories are the launches of franchise campaigns that include The Fantastic Four, X-Men, Garfield, Deuce Bigalow, The Day After Tomorrow, The Cleaner, and 2012.  In addition, he was creative director and copywriter for the relaunch of "The Sopranos" on A&E, which was heralded in AdWeek and other publications.

Kaplan began his entertainment marketing career in 1989 as a Marketing Traffic Coordinator for Twentieth Century Fox's Theatrical Department. There, he assisted in streamlining the delivery system for all domestic creative AV spots to networks and affiliates.  In 1994, he began work with Donahue/Agate Printing, a commercial lithographer. Kaplan became Agate's highest volume production and sales manager and was in charge of all theatrical litho sales, as well as the creation of a burgeoning visual promotion and in-theatre marketing department.

In 1998, Kaplan and an Agate colleague partnered to found Iworks Print, a print consulting firm based in Culver City.  Kaplan represented Iworks to the world's largest entertainment firms, including Sony/Columbia TriStar, New Line and Twentieth Century Fox.  In 1999, Kaplan helped found Art Machine, a Culver City-based creative firm, helping build the management, creative and sales side of the business.

In 2003, to devote more time to Art Machine, Kaplan successfully sold Iworks Print to Southern California Screen Printing, Inc., the largest and most automated silkscreener in the Western United States.  Over the next 4 years, Art Machine became the darling of entertainment design, piling up more awards than firms multiple times its size and attracting the eye of purchaser Trailer Park and their equity partner Lake Capital.  In 2007. Trailer Park acquired Art Machine as their creative print arm, and Kaplan continues as President and Creative Director.

Kaplan serves as the Creative Director and Account Executive for Art Machine's highest profile clients, among them Twentieth Century Fox, Universal Pictures, A&E, SyFy, MGM, Sony Pictures, and countless others.   He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two kids and enjoys classic hotrods, the piano, shooting guns, Crawfish Boils and motorcycles.
